Founded in 2024, The Argument Lab launched its inaugural summer camp program with ~20 enthusiastic students. Building on that foundation, we expanded in 2025 to offer both expanded in-person and online options to reach even more aspiring speakers.
Our program is designed to create a supportive, welcoming environment where students build real-world communication skills, boost self-confidence, and form lasting friendships with peers.
Whether your student is already an outspoken speaker or feels nervous speaking in front of others, our camp is carefully structured to meet every beginner where they are.
Our structured curriculum covers key foundational skills through interactive activities and practice.
Fun, supportive exercises designed to build confidence, improve vocal delivery, and overcome stage fright.
Learn how to construct clear, logical claims, back them with solid evidence, and present ideas convincingly.
Discover common flaws in reasoning, spot bad arguments, and sharpen critical thinking skills.
Master active listening to break down opposing viewpoints, construct strong rebuttals, and summarize key points.
Get introduced to fast-paced Spontaneous Argumentation (SPAR) and Impromptu speaking formats of debate.
Put newfound skills to the test in friendly, structured mock debate rounds with peer and mentor feedback.
Anshuman is a rising senior with over six years of competitive speech and debate experience. He has qualified for the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) national tournament in both Extemporaneous Speaking and Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and has competed in tournaments across the country, including winning the Northern Nevada Forensics League Sagebrush District Tournament, placing 3rd at the Nevada State Championships, and earning two gold medals at the National Online Forensics Championship (NOFC).
In 2024, he founded The Argument Lab to make high-quality speech and debate instruction accessible to middle schoolers who might not otherwise have the chance to try it — the camp has since grown from an initial cohort of 20 students to include both in-person and online offerings.
Anshuman is passionate about helping students build confidence, think critically, and find their voice, whether or not they ever compete in a formal tournament.
Spots are limited to keep cohort sizes small and interactive. Register your student today!
